ED 235 Technology for Educators Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Introduces current advanced technology available in education. Emphasizes the tools to evaluate, select, and implement appropriate technology in the instructional setting.
Prerequisite: Placement into WR 115 (or higher), or completion of WR 090 (or higher) with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Describe the role of technology in the educational process.
- Evaluate software and technological programs for content, format, ease of operation, and design.
- Select appropriate software and technology for use with students within the context of learning outcomes.
- Operate current available educational technology hardware.
- Plan lessons that integrate the use of current available educational technology.
- Use instructional strategies to assist and tutor students using current available educational technology.
