ED 235 Technology for Educators

Introduces current advanced technology available in education. Emphasizes the tools to evaluate, select, and implement appropriate technology in the instructional setting.

Prerequisite: Placement into WR 115  (or higher), or completion of WR 090  (or higher) with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Describe the role of technology in the educational process. 
  2. Evaluate software and technological programs for content, format, ease of operation, and design. 
  3. Select appropriate software and technology for use with students within the context of learning outcomes. 
  4. Operate current available educational technology hardware. 
  5. Plan lessons that integrate the use of current available educational technology. 
  6. Use instructional strategies to assist and tutor students using current available educational technology.
