EGR 213 Strength of Materials Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 2 Credits: 4
Covers properties of structural materials and analysis of stress and deformation in axially loaded members, circular shafts, beams, and statically indeterminate systems.
Prerequisite: Placement into WR 115 (or higher), or completion of WR 090 (or higher); and completion of EGR 211 and MTH 252 ; or consent of instructor. (All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.) Student Learning Outcomes:
- Analyze internal forces in members.
