AUM 152 - Automotive Machine Shop

Covers the methods, technical aspects, theory, checks, and procedures used to recondition internal combustion engines and related components. Introduces the precision measuring tools, torque wrenches, fasteners, and machining equipment used daily by automotive machinists. Discusses procedures, precision measuring devices, and special tools, as well as theories of leverage, pressure/volume, expansion, momentum, inertia, and work related to engines.

Prerequisite: AUM 151 and AUM 158, each with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
