ANES 110 - Medical Law and Ethics for Anesthesia Technologists

Introduces the concepts of medical law and ethics for health care practitioners specifically working in the Operating room including topics such as HIPAA, Medical Malpractice and Negligence, the physician patient relationship. liability, scope of practice, and ethical concepts as they relate to the medical profession. Examines real cases and ethical dilemmas to promote their own ethical thinking and understanding of law as it relates to their work role in the industry.
Prerequisite: ANES 101 , ANES 103 , ANES 112 and PHM 243 ; or consent of instructor. (All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.)
