CJ 142A - Managing the Mentally Ill Offender

Focuses on understanding and supervising youthful and adult offenders in confinement by developing an awareness of the dynamics, basic behaviors, and interpersonal interactions commonly found among offenders exhibiting these serious mental disorders: anxiety, dissociative, mood, personality, psychotic (schizophrenia), and mental retardation.
Recommended: PSY 201 or PSY 202 , either with a grade of C or better.
