COMM 111 - Fundamentals of Public Speaking Lecture Hours: 4 Credit Hours: 4
Introduces the preparing and delivering public speeches with an emphasis on informative speaking. Develops understanding and practical application of communication skills and includes techniques in controlling speech anxiety, structuring and organizing information to present to a variety of audiences, and improving physical and vocal delivery skills.
Prerequisite: Placement into WR 115 or completion of WR 090 with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Recommended: Placement into WR 121 (or higher), or completion of WR 115 (or higher) with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
