ED 265 - Inclusion: Special Needs Students

ntroduces the concept of inclusion of children with disabilities in the classroom. Discusses and identifies historical, philosophical, and legal issues related to special education. Includes specific study of the disability categories covered under Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) with special attention to the diverse population of today’s schools.

Prerequisite: Placement into or completion of WR 115  (or higher); or completion of RD 115  (or concurrent enrollment); and completion of ED 216 ; or consent of instructor. (All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.)
