Introduces discussion and analysis of histories, stories, poems, and plays of the Western and non-Western world between 2000 B.C.E. and l450 C.E. Explores the connection between literature and power and literature and social and cultural change.

Prerequisite: Placement into WR 115 (or higher), or completion of WR 090 or WR 115 (or higher); and placement into RD 090; or consent of instructor. (All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.)
