EMT 200 EMS Anatomy and Physiology for Pre-Hospital Providers

Provides the student with a working knowledge of the structure and function of the human body. Studies the function in the body and basic knowledge of gross anatomy.  Relates to the sick and injured patients commonly seen in the pre-hospital emergency environment. 

 

Prerequisite: Consent of instructor. 
Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the normal structure and function of the human body. 
  2. Explain the integration of the various organ systems. 

  3. Indicate knowledge of technical terms and biological/medical terminology. 

  4. Distinguish the ways in which physical trauma and disease affect the body
