APR 158D Plumber Apprenticeship Basic Installation

Continues related training and trade practices for plumber apprentices. Includes installation and related 2017 Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code (OPSC), safety, rigging and hoisting, welding and brazing, and blueprint reading.

Prerequisite: APR 158C  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Explain installation practices applying to related IAPMO code/OPSC. 
  2. Describe occupational safety and health standards in the plumbing trade. 
  3. Explain back flow types and installation practices. 
  4. Explain safe rigging and hoisting practices. 
  5. Weld and braze joints according to trade standards. 
  6. Read blueprints.
