APR 253G Electrician Apprenticeship Safety and Code

Provides training for the inside wire electrical apprentice. Covers applied electrical theory, residential and commercial wiring practices, busways, motor fundamentals and application and the Oregon Electrical Specialty Code.

Prerequisite: APR 153F  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Apply the theory and techniques of the trades. 
  2. Identify the skills required at their level of apprenticeship. 
  3. Interpret the apply applicable sections of the National Electrical Code, as required for a license. 
  4. Describe and demonstrate the technical skills required of a journeyman inside wire electrician.
