APR 253G Electrician Apprenticeship Safety and Code Lecture Hours: 4 Lab Hours: 2 Credits: 5
Provides training for the inside wire electrical apprentice. Covers applied electrical theory, residential and commercial wiring practices, busways, motor fundamentals and application and the Oregon Electrical Specialty Code.
Prerequisite: APR 153F with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Apply the theory and techniques of the trades.
- Identify the skills required at their level of apprenticeship.
- Interpret the apply applicable sections of the National Electrical Code, as required for a license.
- Describe and demonstrate the technical skills required of a journeyman inside wire electrician.
