APR 258H Plumber Apprenticeship-Commercial Installation

Continues related training for plumber apprentices in trade theory and practices. Includes commercial installation practices, related applied math and science, OSHA, safety, and 2017 Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code (OPSC).

Prerequisite: APR 258G  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Explain the installation of fixtures and appliances in commercial and residential units. 
  2. Calculate offsets, volume, ratio and proportions. 
  3. Relate the science of energy and temperature, heat transfer, water treatment, and electrical theory and testing to plumbing situations. 
  4. Apply industry established safety standards to plumbing. 
  5. Interpret OPSC specifications. 
  6. Read blueprints.
