ART 266 Photography 2

Introduces studio lighting for portraits and product photography, color correction, and asset management. Includes the role of the photographer in the graphic communications industry.

Prerequisite: ART 265  with a grade of C or better and admission in the Visual Communications program; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Produce photographs following art direction. 
  2. Employ various lighting techniques for studio photography. 
  3. Set up and light product shots. 
  4. Produce a series of images related to a theme. 
  5. Evaluate photographs for technical and aesthetic qualities. 
  6. Explain image ownership, copyright, usage, and licensing. 
  7. Create and communicate conceptual content.
