BA 279 Computerized Accounting 2 Lecture Hours: 4 Credits: 4
Continues computer-based accounting for small businesses using QuickBooks Online version. Includes start-up of a new company, building a chart of accounts, completing the accounting cycle, processing payroll, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and preparing a financial analysis of a company using spreadsheet software.
Prerequisite: BA 211 with a grade of C or better; and computer literacy; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Set-up accounting records for a business utilizing cloud based QuickBooks Online.
- Create a complete QuickBooks Online company file.
- Analyze and record routine business transactions in QuickBooks Online software.
- Complete the accounting cycle using QuickBooks Online.
- Prepare financial statements and complete financial statement analysis.
