BA 279 Computerized Accounting 2

Continues computer-based accounting for small businesses using QuickBooks Online version. Includes start-up of a new company, building a chart of accounts, completing the accounting cycle, processing payroll, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and preparing a financial analysis of a company using spreadsheet software.

Prerequisite: BA 211  with a grade of C or better; and computer literacy; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Set-up accounting records for a business utilizing cloud based QuickBooks Online. 
  2. Create a complete QuickBooks Online company file.
  3. Analyze and record routine business transactions in QuickBooks Online software.
  4. Complete the accounting cycle using QuickBooks Online. 
  5. Prepare financial statements and complete financial statement analysis.
