CG 225 Four-Year College Transition Lecture Hours: 2 Credits: 2
Identifies criteria to use in selecting a college and major, and the connection between the transfer studentís current college and four-year colleges. Provides strategies and information to assist in the transition to the four-year college systems.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Discuss the expectations of instructors at the upper division level.
- Describe a method for developing an individualized support system at a four-year school.
- Identify and locate the resources and services provided by a four-year institution which ease transition to a college.
- Assess and describe the components for the organization of time and setting personal and academic priorities.
- Discuss and explain issues regarding transferring to a four-year institution.
- Evaluate and describe strategies associated with anxiety connected with upper division academics.
- Describe a process for choosing an academic major.
- Explain criteria and process in selecting a college.
- Identify and apply the academic requirements connected with earning a four-year degree.
- Explain alternative methods of academic delivery.
