DRF 140 3-D Modeling with AutoDesk Inventor

Lecture Hours: 2
Lab Hours: 3
Credits: 3

Uses AutoDesk Inventor as an introduction to 3-D modeling. Covers fundamentals of graphics communication. Includes multi-view drawings, dimensioning, section views, auxiliary views and descriptive geometry concepts.

Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Construct solid models from drafting views, sketches and measurements provided.
  2. Perform geometric construction operations.
  3. Produce orthographic, isometric, section, auxiliary and detail views.
  4. Apply dimensions and notation based on ANSI standards.
  5. Generate views providing true length, true shape, and true angle.
  6. Develop flat patterns of thin-walled parts.
  7. Generate assembly models, exploded views and assembly drawings.
