DRF 165 CAD System Administration

Covers customizing parameters for maximizing AutoCAD. Includes researching and installing custom programs for optimizing drawing performance. Also covers creating custom menu systems for specific applications.

Prerequisite: DRF 131  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Download custom programs, fonts, and hatch patterns from the Internet. 
  2. Load applications via AutoCAD. 
  3. Develop macros and menus for specific AutoCAD routines. 
  4. Present and display custom programs. 
  5. Set up operating parameters on a local CAD system area network for plotting.
