DRF 210 Parametric Design with SolidWorks Lecture Hours: 1 Lab Hours: 6 Credits: 3
Covers graphic communication used throughout technical and engineering fields. Applies spatial analysis and engineering design concepts using parametric modeling software.
Prerequisite: DRF 130 with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Generate parametric 3D models of machine parts and simple assemblies.
- Produce single, multi-view and pictorial view drawings for machine parts and assemblies.
- Apply dimensional standards to technical drawings.
- Analyze fit for assembled machine parts.
- Compute tolerances.
