DRF 210 Parametric Design with SolidWorks

Lecture Hours: 1
Lab Hours: 6
Credits: 3

Covers graphic communication used throughout technical and engineering fields. Applies spatial analysis and engineering design concepts using parametric modeling software.

Prerequisite: DRF 130  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Generate parametric 3D models of machine parts and simple assemblies.
  2. Produce single, multi-view and pictorial view drawings for machine parts and assemblies.
  3. Apply dimensional standards to technical drawings.
  4. Analyze fit for assembled machine parts.
  5. Compute tolerances.
