Covers communications theory and systems. Develops practical skills and reinforces theoretical concepts through laboratory experiments and field trips. Promotes and supports sustainable and green technologies.

Prerequisite/Corequisite: ELT 281  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.

  1. Describe the essential elements of a communication system. 
  2. Identify, analyze, and evaluate basic communication system block diagrams. 
  3. Describe appropriate modulation techniques for transmission and processing different types of information.
