FE 180B1 Introductory Work Based Learning Credits: 2
Introduces the realities of the world of work for students inexperienced in the labor market. Emphasizes gaining an understanding of the workplace in order to guide career choices.
Prerequisite: Consent of instructor. Repeatable: Can be repeated up to six credits. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Identify employability skills desirable to employers.
- Identify examples of employee skills utilized at the work site.
- Construct an informational interview plan and format.
- Use workplace skills to interact in increasingly complex work-based learning experiences.
- List the skills and abilities of a successful entry-level employee.
- Practice workplace habits and ethics as required at the work site.
- Set up increasingly complex work experiences as assessed by successfully performing learning objectives.
