FR 100 French Life and Culture

Offers an introduction to French history, politics, arts and culture, and includes briefings at Parisian museums, ministries, or media centers. Basic French language is included.

Prerequisite: Placement into WR 115  (or higher), or completion of WR 090  (or higher) with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Describe the similarities and differences between French and U.S. society and culture. 
  2. Discuss contemporary issues affecting French society. 
  3. Relate the history and value of French sites to its citizens. 
  4. Use basic French phrases and vocabulary in social settings.
