GE 103 Engineering Computations

Develops a systematic approach to engineering problem solving using computers. Includes applications in computer analysis, graphing and database operations using spreadsheet software.

Prerequisite: Placement into WR 115  (or higher), or completion of WR 090  (or higher); and completion of GE 101 ; or consent of instructor. (All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.)
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Use spreadsheet software in engineering applications. 
  2. Test alternative outcomes. 
  3. Generate graphs. 
  4. Produce curve data. 
  5. Perform database queries. 
  6. Perform statistical analysis. 
  7. Import and export data. 
  8. Create and use macros and VBA routines.
