GE 103 Engineering Computations Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2 Credits: 3
Develops a systematic approach to engineering problem solving using computers. Includes applications in computer analysis, graphing and database operations using spreadsheet software.
Prerequisite: Placement into WR 115 (or higher), or completion of WR 090 (or higher); and completion of GE 101 ; or consent of instructor. (All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.) Student Learning Outcomes:
- Use spreadsheet software in engineering applications.
- Test alternative outcomes.
- Generate graphs.
- Produce curve data.
- Perform database queries.
- Perform statistical analysis.
- Import and export data.
- Create and use macros and VBA routines.
