HOR 150 Irrigation Blueprint Reading and Sketching

Lecture Hours: 1
Lab Hours: 2
Credits: 2

Introduces basic construction plan interpretation. Covers symbol usage, line types, dimensioning, section views, axillary views and integration of construction plans from various trades.

Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Utilize engineering and architectural scales to take measurements
  2. Interpret and understand construction plan symbols and drawings
  3. Utilize basic drafting technologies and conventions
  4. Develop a site assessment and define the irrigation system needed
  5. Construct an irrigation system in a readable format
