Offers a conditioning program designed to complement individual interests, needs, and goals. May improve some or all of the areas of physical fitness: cardiovascular, muscular, body composition, and flexibility.
Student Learning Outcomes: Beginning
- Define individual fitness goals and limitations.
- Identify requirements for fitness in the areas of cardiorespiratory muscular, body composition, and flexibility.
- Define and discuss the benefits of aerobic exercise.
- Keep a written documentation of a personal conditioning program.
- Practice full participation in workout program.
- Define target zone and find individual heart rate when exercising and at rest.
- Identify areas of improvement through pre- and post-evaluations.
- Identify and correctly perform at least six strength exercises.
