Provides a group setting and instruction for conditioning and participation in the fundamental skills of soccer.
Student Learning Outcomes: Beginning:
- Engage in full participation in warm-up, technique, and game activities.
- Apply basic knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Discuss ways to improve and maintain physical fitness through a regular activity program.
Intermediate:
- Practice intermediate soccer skills.
- Identify basic offense and defense strategies.
- Present to a group at least one soccer skill or strategy.
Advanced:
- Practice advanced application of beginning and intermediate soccer skills.
- Teach at least one soccer skill to a small group or class.
- Discuss and identify offensive and defensive strategies in various situations in a game.
- Explain and apply advanced knowledge of basic soccer rules and regulations.
