Offers training for the beginning to advanced golfer. Emphasizes the development of basic swing fundamentals. Covers proper golf etiquette, rules and playing procedures.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Beginning

  1. Identify and demonstrate proper grip, stance, and posture.
  2. Utilize the golf swing with irons and woods.
  3. Demonstrate the putting stroke.
  4. Apply the basic rules and scoring of golf to playing situations.
  5. Conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the rules of etiquette while on and around a golf course.

Intermediate

  1. Meet beginning objectives.
  2. Demonstrate technique for pitching.
  3. Demonstrate technique for chipping.
  4. Illustrate how to read greens.

Advanced

  1. Meet all beginning and intermediate objectives.
  2. Demonstrate special use of the driver and long irons for specific situations.
  3. Illustrate golf skills in match play.
