SLD 141 Student Services Leadership 2

Continues to build professional customer service skills. Introduces personal/professional development tools such as public speaking, conflict styles, and time and stress management.

Prerequisite: SLD 140  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Critique their own communication and public speaking styles.
  2. Use strategies to anticipate the needs of customers with whom they will work (e.g. individuals, peer groups, families).
  3. Compare Chemeketa’s student services approach to that of other colleges and design innovative proposal(s) for improvement.
  4. Choose a plan for personal and professional balance that assists in achieving academic/career goals for the academic year.
