Further develops the techniques and skills needed to plan, design, and code sophisticated websites. Includes advanced instruction on Cascading Style Sheets, designing and coding for mobile devices, content management systems, and other topics in web design and development.

Prerequisite: VC 237  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Plan, document, design, and implement advanced websites for both desktop and mobile browsers. 
  2. Write standards-based HTML to structure webpage content. 
  3. Use advanced Cascading Style Sheet techniques for layout, typography and interactivity. 
  4. Perform basic configuration and integration of content management systems. 
  5. Understand and evaluate modern Web development technologies. 
  6. Publish and evaluate advanced websites. 
  7. Use industry standard terminology in discussing web design and development.
