The Paraprofessional Pro Certificate of Completion gives an opportunity to individuals to obtain required credentialing preparing them for initial employment as paraprofessionals in Title I schools and serves as an initial on-ramp to teacher licensure.

Students completing the Education Support Professionals certificate should be able to: 

  1. Demonstrate proficiency in first year college writing and Math (as met by the WR 115 and MTH 95 or ED 114 courses), and how this knowledge supports the function of an ED assistant in the school district. 
  2. Apply critical thinking to analyze social issues in the education sector. 
  3. Demonstrate understanding of culturally responsive pedagogy and identify teaching practices that support equity and inclusion in the classroom. 

You may earn a certificate of completion by successfully completing the required 15 credit hours with a grade of “C” or better in all courses.
