APR 153D Electrician Apprenticeship Theory

Continues training for Inside Wire Electrical Apprentices. Includes requirements for wiring and installation of electrical devices, auxiliary gutters, raceways, fuses and over-current devices, wire devices, hazardous locations, busways, residential calculation, safety, and applicable Oregon Electrical Specialty Code.

Prerequisite: APR 153C  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Apply the theory and techniques of the trade to residential requirements and calculations. 
  2. Relate to peers the skills required in print reading, specifications, installations, and hazardous locations. 
  3. Interpret and apply the applicable section of the National Electrical Code to installations and calculations.
