APR 253I Electrician Apprenticeship Fiber Optics Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Covers applied electrical theory, residential, and commercial wiring practices, busways and motor fundamentals. Applies applicable Oregon Electrical Specialty Code for Inside Wire Electrician Apprentices and safety best practices.
Prerequisite: APR 253H with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Read and interpret construction plans related to basic fiber optics wiring.
- Locate, interpret, and apply National Electrical Code standards to residential and commercial wiring jobs.
