APR 256K HVAC/R Apprenticeship-Advanced 2

Focuses on air balancing; procedures for system startup and shutdown; interpreting industry drawings and specifications; system design; and LEB test prep. Designed for Oregon State recognized apprentices working in the HVAC/R trade.

Prerequisite: APR 256J  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Explain the fundamentals of system air balancing. 
  2. Detail procedures for system startup and shutdown. 
  3. Interpret construction drawings, specifications and submittals. 
  4. Describe processes for heating and cooling system design. 
  5. Find the answers to LEB test questions.
