APR 258I Plumber Apprenticeship-Code Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Covers theory and trade practices for the plumber apprentice. Focuses on 2017 Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code (OPSC). Includes installing fixtures and appliances, reading blueprints, and Interpreting plumbing code.
Prerequisite: APR 258H with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Install fixtures and appliances in commercial and residential units.
- Compute offsets, volumes, ratio, and proportions related to plumbing installation.
- Read blueprints of floor plans, site plans, elevations, systems, and detailed isometric drawings.
- Interpret OPSC.
