APR 266G Sheet Metal Apprenticeship-Triangulation and Fiberglass

Presents related training material consistent with the minimum skill requirements of the sheet metal trade. Includes fabrication, assembly and design of various architectural and general sheet metal tasks.

Prerequisite: APR 266F  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Explain the components of stainless steel. 
  2. Fabricate and install architectural and general sheet metal products. 
  3. Fabricate and assemble samples using stainless steel and sheet metal components. 
  4. Describe material characteristics, tools, and procedures for layout and fabrication of fittings. 
  5. Apply appropriate formulas to mathematical situations 
  6. Demonstrate the proper care, use and storage of hand and power tools 
  7. Utilize recognized standard building codes guidelines as applicable
