APR 266K Sheetmetal Apprenticeship-Job Site Management

Presents related training material consistent with the minimum skill requirements of the sheet metal trade. Includes: job site organization, time management, goal setting, dispute and/or conflict resolution, organizational techniques, and goals.

Prerequisite: APR 266J  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Organize a job site crew to most effectively achieve completion of a given project. 
  2. Establish an operating routine for work site crews. 
  3. Develop a record keeping process for site-specific projects. 
  4. Utilize contract documents and specifications to foresee job site conflicts and resolve them. Utilize recognized standard building codes guidelines as applicable. Read and interpret building plans and drawings. 
  5. Interpret contract documents, prints, specifications and AIA forms.  
  6. Schedule and coordinate with other trades on job sites.
