ART 225 Type Design 2 Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 4 Credits: 4
Continues the study of typography as a design element in visual communications.
Prerequisite: ART 224 with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Further analyze distinguishing characteristics of typefaces.
- Distinguish qualities of type styles.
- Develop criteria for design consistency in the design of an original typeface.
- Refine the use of typography in a variety of projects.
- Develop a sequence of typographic layouts for motion graphics.
