BA 226 Business Law 1

Introduces the nature and function of the law in society. Covers common law and basic legal requirements, and constitutional, tort, criminal, employment, and contract law.

Recommended: Placement into WR 121Z  and BA 101  with a grade of C or better.


Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Identify the purpose and operation of law in society. 
  2. Describe and apply the basic principles of law that relate to employment, tort, contract, criminal, and constitutional law. 
  3. Analyze business law situations and provide solutions to those scenarios. 
  4. Accurately use the vocabulary of business law.
