CJ 229 Domestic Terrorism Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Presents the history of terrorism (international and domestic), the causes and methods of terrorism, with an emphasis on contemporary domestic terrorism groups. Covers the basic steps in countering terrorists threat groups, concepts in terrorism, causes, and methods. Assists law enforcement officers, public administrators, security officers, and the general public in recognizing potential terrorist threats. Emphasis on domestic (national) terrorism.
Prerequisite: CJ 100 and WR 121Z , each with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Corequisite: CJ 103 with criminal history clearance; or current professional in the field; or consent of instructor.
